My Bio

I am a published screenwriter, screenwriting coach and film critic.

I work as a reader for Scriptapalooza, one of the leading screenplay coverage companies in Hollywood. I write coverage for feature screenplays, TV pilot scripts, and TV spec scripts. I also conduct extensive development programs, guiding writers through multiple drafts via detailed notes and phone, video chat, or in-person consultation sessions.

I have a BFA in Film Theory from Istanbul Bilgi University and an MFA in Screenwriting from Academy of Art University San Francisco.

My feature screenplay "Frozen Summer" won The Gold Prize at The Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest in 2013, was an Honorable Mention at The Screenplay Festival in 2014, won 3rd Place at The Reddit Screenplay Competition in 2015, and was a finalist at The Slamdance Film Festival in 2012. It's also been published as a book by 120pages.

A short screenplay I co-wrote won Best Film at The 48-Hour Film Festival in 2008.

I am also a professional film critic who writes for Paste Magazine, The Playlist, DVD Talk, and Beyazperde.com.

I live in Portland, Oregon with my wife, daughter, and two King Charles Spaniels.
